LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY

Title design & animation, Show Brand & Identity.

During my 6 1/2 years as the sr. graphics producer on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly I have designed and animated over 850 title sequences as well as re-design the main logo,  and re-vamp the over-all graphic look of the show every couple of years. The challenge on the guest title sequences was designing a 4-5 second visually interesting title sequence that incorporates the guests name, our segment branding, an element or theme of the project they are promoting (if possible) and keeping with-in the perimeters of the initial design aesthetic of the show itself, all while being completed on a tight deadline. Below are 400 thumbnails of my favorite title sequences.

Show Graphics package

To make each episode more unique in its look I designed & created an intro graphics package that could be interchangable not only with the information, but the graphic elements as well. To stay with the gritty Docu,   Rock-n-Roll style I used photographic imagery of Los Angeles & New York combined with various textures and effects along with each episodes information to wind up with a unique visual combination for that specific episode.

Below are a few examples of each

Last Call Portfolio / scrapbook

I also created a 440 page hardcover book that showcases all my graphic work over the 6 1/2 years I was there, as well as paste-up yearbook photos and various parody images I made of my co-workers.
